Motorcycle Repair: 1993 ultra classic electraglide, silver boxes, orange wire

Hot wire and clicking. There are four wires that come out of the key ignition switch, the orange wire gets hot when I turn the ignition on.  At the same time I hear an intermittent clicking come from the switches(silver boxes). As it clicks the headlight brightens and then dulls, the radio seems to go on and then off.

The orange wire connects to another orange wire, which runs along the frame and is attached to a plug that plugs into a small black box, which is attached to the frame by the battery.

The clicking you are hearing is coming from one of the breakers, so what you have is a short in the wiring. Find the breaker that is clicking and follow it both directions looking for a bare wire, loose connection or crushed wire.
