Motorcycle Repair: Got spark but still wont start, honda cl100, engine fires

Question
Hey, I finally got be a big blue spark on my honda cl100 today. It still won't
start. Do you know what kind of compression these bikes should be putting out?
If I put my finger over the spark plug hole and kick hard, it kinda blows it off.
Thanks so much for you help!

Answer
Matt,

-it should have about 120-150 psi compression
ideally, but it may run if it's over 100 psi
at the least.
-Have you checked if fuel is getting to the carb from the gas tank
and is the carb clean? Drain the float bowl,
see if gas comes out.
-Try some carb cleaner or wd40 in the carb
intake and see if the engine fires on it.
If it does, then you need to check the
fuel system. Petcock valve, fuel lines and carb.
-Make sure air filter is not plugged or oil soaked.
-Try a new spark plug.
-Is the spark plug wet or dry? Is it getting fuel
or too much fuel? Check the choke.
