Motorcycle Repair: Carb Cutting out, cv carb, slide kit

Mike,  When I am riding and want to excellerate quickly my bike cuts out. Its when I open the throttle up all the way at one time to pass a car or excellerate. I haven't changed anything in the bike. I have a 99 soft-tail with a CV Carb and a thunder slide kit. Any idea where to start looking at the problem

First, check to make sure you have a good flow out the petcock to the carb. If its ok, then you need to pull the carb and check the jets as well as the pumper for dirt and being plugged. Also, check the diaphram for a tear in it.
