Motorcycle Repair: oil change, 1981 honda cb900, motorcycle oil

I have a 1981 Honda CB900 and I wanted to know how much oil to put in the oil compartment.

-If you change the oil and the filter,
add about 3.7 US quarts or 3.5 litres
of 10W40 motorcycle oil.

-add 3 quarts and then run the bike a
minute to circulate the oil and recheck the level again.
-Check your oil with the bike level
and don't screw the dipstick in
when checking.
-The level should be near the higher end
of the marked area at the end of the dipstick.
