Motorcycle Repair: CT-90 Fuel Valve issue?, panka, fuel valve

Question
My CT-90 (1970) has no fuel cut-off switch that you're supposed to use when
you park the bike. Instead there is just a cap, so that the fuel is always able to
flow. Also, I'm having trouble with the bike dying on me after a short time. It
dies and won't re-start again. Are these related? What's the importance of the
cut-off switch?

Answer
Hi Daniel,

If im not mistaken, i thought there was a fuel switch under the seat? eitherway, its purpose is to shut the fuel off, just to keep it from over flowing into the crankcase, the fact of no shut off may be the cause of the engine not running correct, may be due to the plugs being flooded, i would look into a carb clean and possibly a rebuild kit...

Hope this helps!
