Motorcycle Repair: 1982 Honda Aspencade, honda aspencade, windshield replacement

Question
I want to replace the windshield on my '82 Aspencade. By looking at a parts manual it looks like it is held in place by six bolts. The two mirrors both require two bolts and the garnish is held in place with two bolts. It also shows six control valve collars and then the six nuts. My question is if I remove a bolt, will the nut fall into my fairing never to be found again. I don't want to take that chance. Any advice on how to go about this is much appreciated.

Answer
Scott, If im not mistaken there are whats called Pembs in the fairing assy. that should stay in the fairing when you remove the bolts.

We don't always like what manufacters' built and the way they build it, however they usually make windshield replacement fairly consumer friendly to replace..

Hope this helps!
