Motorcycle Repair: 1985 honda goldwing aspencade, honda goldwing aspencade, bill silver

Question
I have a charging problem. I have put in a new stator, rectifier, and a battery, but still my bike wont charge. I was told the bike was wired wrong for the stator. Not sure what that is meant by. The wires on the stator have the numbers 41,42,43,, the wires from the bike itself don't have numbers on them.  Is there a way to hook the wires wrong? My spouses 1983 goldwing we just plugged the wires in when we were done with the engine. We did a complete overhaul on that one. Haven't had charging problems with that one.  All fuses look good.  Did a eye view inspection on them.  I really hope you can help  I am stumped!!

 Thanks

Answer
The 3 wires from the stator don't care where they go. They are  just AC leads headed towards the reg-rectifier. Check all the wiring between the stator and harness. Here is a troubleshooting guide to help you...

Unless you got a defective stator
