Motorcycle Repair: poping through the throttle body, air fuel mixture, pilot jet

Question
A buddy of mine has a 05 duce 88 cu. in. after the motor warms up it starts popping through the throttle body. any ideas of what the problem is.

Answer
Hi Rob,

If this is carburated, he'll have to drill out the air/fuel mixture cap to get at the actual adjustment screw on the bottom of the carb. Turn that out to 2.5 turns out. Then the pilot jet will need to be bumped up ONE size, and under the main jet needle, he will need to install a .30 shim. I garantee this will cure the problem.

If its EFI, it could be a number of things, thats where he'll need to see a dealer to have it diagnosed..

Hope this helps!
