Question
how do i set the timing on the crankcase adjuster came loose while riding i got it close but not quite there yet

Answer
ATVs are not my specialty and I am not completely sure that I understand your question....

I searched the ATV forums (http://forums.atvconnection.com) and found, perhaps, the answer you need:

"The procedure for the clutch adjustment goes like this.
Warm up the motor with a short ride. It doesn't have to be hot, a few minutes is enough.
Turn off the motor.
Inside the left footwell. look at the forward side of the motor. In the circular area of the engine case, is a small slotted screw , with a lock nut. Loosen the lock nut, about one turn. Don't remove it, just loosen it. Turn the slotted screw, ccw, until you feel resistance. From there, go back (cw), 1/4 turn. Hold the slotted screw stationary, and snug up the lock nut."
