Motorcycle Repair: carbs, yamaha xs 400 maxim, yamaha xs 400, flexible glue

I need two new diaphram assemblies.  I was wondering if there are other model carbs that will fit this bike.  Like anything in the xs series?  If not do you know where I can get the replacement part under 75.00 each or at all. thanks

parts are getting rare for these bikes,
you may be able to adapt some vm type
mikuni's with cable slides. You
would have to take measurements and
do some searching. Once installed
any carbs you get will need to be
rejetted until the bike runs well.
Have you tried repairing the diaphragms?
Some flexible glue might work if the holes
are small.
There are some places that rebuild or
make new rubber for diaphragms, not cheap
either though.
