Motorcycle Repair: brake light stuck on, sportster 883, brake button

mike I have a 94 sportster 883 the brake light is stuck on any ideas on what to check before bringing to the shop socket looks fine and front lever and rear pedal when worked rereatedly dont change anything both filaments in bulb are on thanks for any suggestions

Check the handlebars. You will see where the brake handle is the part that holds the controls to the handle bar is two piece. Those pieces need to be pushed together tight or the brake light will come on. This is due to the brake button being in there.
