Motorcycle Repair: 2 questions, friction discs, clutch lever

Question
1st,my 77honda cb 550.clutch has started slipping.55,000 miles.what is the proper procedure to adjust the clutch,on the adjuster on the side of right case?2nd,i have a 67 triump that needs engine rebuild.any recamendations for someone who can do it fair priced, and do a good job?thanks for your time.Audie

Answer
Audie,

with that mileage, I imagine the clutch needs
replacing. Just make sure the clutch lever
is not tight, give the cable some slack,
If it has a locknut and screw on the case,
turn it in until it touches and back out
1/4 turn and tighten the nut.
If it still slips, you will have to replace
at least the friction discs, and inspect
the rest of the clutch assy.
