Motorcycle Repair: 06 softail deluxe clutch adjustment, clutch adjustment, locknut

Can you provide me with the procedure for properly adjusting the clutch on the above model?

Have the bike sitting upright. remove the cover on the back of the primary. Loosen the adjuster on the cable and put some slack in it. Loosen the locknut on the adjuster under the primary and turn the adjuster outward. Now turn it inward just until it touches and they back out about 1/8 turn. Tighten the locknut. Now adjust the cable until you have about 1/8 inch play int he clutch lever and your set.
