Motorcycle Repair: Honda shadow quits, check fuse, fuse box

Question
Hi, I have a 1984 Honda Shadow VT500 which I bought 2 months ago. I've been riding it every day until last week when it started quitting on me. It dies when ever it wants  and at any speed. It always starts up with the starter but never while it is rolling unless I pull the clutch in and use the starter. It dies 1 to 5 time every mile and I was wondering if there is an electrical part I could change to rectify this problem. Thanks

Answer
Kevin,
-have you checked the fuel flow from the
gas tank?  Sounds like it's running out
of gas.
-It sounds like it always has spark when it quits,
is this so? Stick a plug in the wire and check.
-Check your battery cables also, if they are
loose all kinds of things can happen.
-Check all the connectors for corrosion or loose
wires, check fuse box.
-Check for loose ignition switch, kill switch,
side stand switch and clutch switch.
-Lastly could check the ignition pulse
generator, grounds and all ignition connectors.
