Motorcycle Repair: 1964 honda dream, tank badges, honda dream

Question
I am trying to find the proper color match for a white CA 77.. Also do you know what the difference between a CA77 and a CA77E is?  thanks

Answer
Carol, I guess I really need to research the white question, as it has suddenly become a hot topic. You can reach me through my website: www.vintagehonda.com and we can discuss it further. Also think about joining the honda305 group on Yahoo. We'll all have to put our heads together on the white color question! Suddenly, everyone wants to do WHITE ones!

CA77 is the model name for a 305cc Honda Dream. The engine numbers are all designated CA77E(engine). After 1964 most 305 Dreams are stamped CA78, even though they are still called CA77s and the engines are still stamped CA77E... Don't ask why..  we are not really sure, other than there was a styling change to the fuel tanks, tank badges and other details that triggered the CA78 designator. I have restoration guide packages for Dreams on CDROM, including parts manuals and tons of photos, data, etc. Package includes my Honda Buyer's Guide, from MBI and now out of print.
