Motorcycle Repair: evo clutch, clutch lever, locknut

how do i adjust the clutch on my 94 fxstc?

Answer
Follow the cable and you will see a rubber boot. Under it is the adjuster. Loosen the cable so you have some slack in it. Now remove the derby cover, with the bike sitting upright,  and under it you will see the clutch adjuster bolt with a locknut. Loosen the locknut and turn the bolt outward. Now turn it itward just until it touches and then out about 1/8 turn. Set the locknut. Now go back to the cable and adjust it so you have about 1/8 inch play in the clutch lever.
