Motorcycle Repair: Spark Plug problems, suzuki gsx, fuel shortage

Question
I have a 1990 Suzuki GSX Katana 600F that isn't turning over.  I have compression and have checked the fuel lines, they don't seem to be clogged at all, the filters are fine.  But when I replaced the spark plugs, i couldn't get a spark with 3 in and one out, or with all of them out.  How do i test the coils or for shorts? Any other ideas?  The bike ran great last summer, but after winterizing it (putting additive in the fuel and draining it this spring)it will not fully turn over.  I'm getting strong lights and alternator 'starts', but it just won't catch.  Thank you for your time!

Answer
Dustin,
the voltage drop is sometimes too much when starting
and the ignition can fail. Make sure you
have a fully charged battery as this can help
immensely. I have a feeling the carb jets could
be varnished or plugged. Try some carb cleaner or
wd40 in the intake and see if it fires on it or not.
Then you will know if it is a fuel shortage problem.
