Motorcycle Repair: 78 honda 50cc cycle wont stay running, honda 50cc, vent hoses

Hello,

I am trying to see why my sons 78 honda 50cc cycle won't stay running.

I have checked the Carb several times and I still have the same problem.  I won't stay running unless I keep the choke on.

Help...  Dad in trouble

Julie and Dad,
Is there a good gas flow coming to the carb?
Check for any air leaks around the carb.
The jets in the carb are very small and
you may have to physically clean them with
a small wire, like a small guitar string.
Make sure carb overflow and vent hoses are not plugged.
The idle jet is the small one and if plugged
the bike will run on the choke circuit.
