1988 radian.....sat in barn for a few years, started up 1nce a year .i got it home, won't start.took apart start button ass., works ok, jumped over clutch lever cut-off switch, nothing. kickstand switch seems ok. will start with wire from battery to starter only. starter relay go bad? major question i have is....is there a unit that all the safty switches hook into that i can bypass? and how would i test starter relay if u think it is that? thank u very much for your time......bob

Answer
Bob,
if your starter seems to work when you bypass the
relay then check if power is getting to the relay
with a test light or meter. If no power there
you will have to bypass the side stand switch
with a jumper where it connects to the bike.
Once you have power to the relay then you can
tell if it's working or not. Just use your
test light again.Have you checked all
the battery cables, connectors, kill switch and fuses?
