Motorcycle Repair: electrial, yamaha 125dt, point gap

Hello I bought a Yamaha 125DT 1979 and I have rebuilt the bike and the carbs. Now Im getting no spark I have replaced the points, condernser, and Most of the cracked andbad wires in the ingintion. I still have no spark can you please let me know what to check and what I can do to getg this fixed please

Hi Sean,

I cannot see what you have to work with. My diagnosis is limited to what I read.

Check ignition breaker point gap and ignition timing and adjust accordingly.

Inspect and clean point contacts.

Check that points assy. is not grounding.

Check conductors for continuity and condition. Check connectors for clean and tightly fastened connections.

Inspect spark plug- clean or replace accordingly.

Check kill switch for clean, corrosion free contacts.

Check output and continuity of charging/exciter coil.
