Motorcycle Repair: motorcycle tire, honda cb750 nighthawk, inflated tires

I was wondering what would be the widdest tire i could put on my 1993 honda cb750 nighthawk without changing the swingarm. It had a 140/80 17 when i bought it and when i got new ones i put the stock tire a 140/70 17 back on it and the stock tire looks so much smaller than the other size tire.                     thanks

Hi,
It would be best to measure the space between the swingarm
and then measure some tires you like. Changing the
tire size can affect handling too. If the 140/80 17
fits maybe that's a safe bet. There are so many tires
it would be hard for me to guess what would fit.
If possible check tire sizes on bikes with inflated tires
so you get a accurate size and compare it to your swingarm
measurement plus some clearance.
