Motorcycle Repair: 1992 CT110, honda ct 110, manual clutch

Question
Hi, i currently just rebuilt a honda ct 110 engine, and for the first time
just attempted to kick it over, but then i was faced with a problem that is,
when kicking it over it feels as if the kick starter is not grabbing on to
anything and just kicks freely without cranking the engine over, i thought this
was very weird as the engine did not have this problem before the rebuild...when
first attempting to start the engine it did this only a few times but i noticed
the more i would try n kick start the motor the more it would not crank and the kick starter would slip , "In
order to give you a clearer picture of the problem i will give you an example of
how the problem feels" Imagine the engine on a bike is idling, and while the
engine is idling you try n kik it over, well thats how it feels, like there is
nothing to kick over, just free movement in the kick starter, Please email ASAP
as im desperatly in need of professional Advice Thankyou

Answer
Hi, the clutch is slipping, the kickstart goes through
the clutch on these models.
If it has a manual clutch give the lever/cable some slack
and if that doesn't help, you will have to adjust
the clutch on the engine. It has a locknut and screw
that may be too tight.
Hope this helps :)
