Question
What can you do with the stock exhaust on a 2007 Yamaha VStar 1100 to make it sound better "louder"?

Answer
Hi Scott,

Q:  "...What can you do with the stock exhaust on a 2007 Yamaha VStar 1100 to make it sound better "louder"?

A:  Start the engine.

Sorry Scott... I couldn't resist but it's true. Install a new exhaust or exhaust "slip-ons" to change the sound.

Any changes to the exhaust, air intake, carburetors, and some engine mods requires tuning the carb's air-fuel mixtures accordingly. Adding pipes may require the carbs to be tuned, and/or modifying the airbox or changing to a higher volume flow filter, and/or changing the ignition mapping.

Avoid drilling or removing the baffles. You'll de-tune performance and may damage the engine. You'll get noise, though. That's a beautiful motorcycle.
