Motorcycle Repair: rejet yes, restrictive exhaust, fuel processor

Question
roy,
I removed the baffles in my stock muffflers. Do I need to have my fuel injection worked on by H/D. Very minor popping at high speed while downshifting. I did this at about 1500 miles. I now have 2300 miles. What type of work do they do.     06 Street bob   TX Jay

Answer
You don't absolutely have to do anything with just a baffle drillout but your bike will be running a little leaner and hotter than it should.  For best results when running a less restrictive exhaust, use a Cobra fuel processor and a Screamin' Eagle hi-flow air filter kit.(Or any hi-flow K&N style air filter)  This will also maximize your horsepower with the flow-through exhaust.
