Motorcycle Repair: stalls, kawasaki eliminator 900, 1985 kawasaki eliminator

Motorcycle runs fine while fuel selector is on reserve but acts like it is running out of gas when in the on position and stalls out.This is a 1985 Kawasaki eliminator 900 that runs well otherwise and just began doing this,any simple fixes?

Hi Steve,

I found your question in the AllExperts "Question Pool."

I suspect the petcock has varnished and/or is otherwise defective. Removal and inspection will reveal the problem.
