Motorcycle Repair: honda shadow vt500c petcock repair, honda shadow 750, 1983 honda shadow 750

i've a honda shadow VT500C 1983 model.

the petcock leaks especially, when i turn the ignition off. i've bought K&L 18-2701 petcock repair kit. looks like one of the O-rings (the big one) does not fit 100% seems little too big. i do not know where exactly the second o-ring go? i've a clymer repair manual but it does not show where the O-rings go. repair kit has only ONE diaphragm but mine has TWO diaphragms?? any assistance greatly appreciated!
