Motorcycle Repair: 1984 glodwing clutch problems, goldwing 1200, clutch plates

i have a 84 goldwing 1200 cc that wont go in to gear when running but will when it is off by hand shifting now i have bleed the clutch could it be the switch that the clutch pushes in when i pull the clutch in please help

Well here are some things that could be the problem.No it is not the switch.There are a couple different things.1.It could be that the hyd system isnt properly bled.2.The shifting shaft has worn down,not letting the pressure plate release.3.warped clutch plates.4.Grooved inner hub.Here are some tests that we can do to eliminate problems.Start the bike in gear go for a ride....does it shift ok or do you have to let offand or play with the throttle to shift up and then shift down.Try it and let me know what we are facing.Although i am guessing it might be time for new clutch plates.They are no fun to change-they are in the back of the motor.
