Motorcycle Repair: Handlebar Alignment, throttle assembly, side switch

Question
97FLHPI, 18500,Stock: I recently changed the stock Cop handlebars to a set of Electra-glide bars. The handlebars seem to be out of parallel to the clamp cover and the right angle relationship to the front wheel. My old bars had the same problem, but the EG bars seem to make it even worse. Question: Will adjusting the handlebar clamp bolts give enough change, or does it require loosening the triple tree nut, the fork bolts, and then moving everything back to square?

Answer
You just need to straighten the bars using the top clamp bolts.  You should notice that when tightening them the bars tend to twist one way or the other depending on which side you tighten.  Hold the bars overcompensated to straighten them so when all four bolts are tight they are straight.  Common problem also is not pushing the right side switch housing and throttle assembly onto the bar far enough which makes the bars feel twisted too.
