Motorcycle Repair: 1998 1340 fuel inj, scanalyzer, fuel inj

Question
i installed a arlen/ness air cleaner, didn't fit right, hit idle, control arm had low idle couldn't adjust so imoved the tps which i shouldn't done. now have old air cleaner back on, how do i get the tps right , or in right position or retune it,

Answer
You really need to hook the bike up to a scanalyzer(the H-D factory tool) to adjust the tps.  Or you can just keep moving it by hand.  The problem is that it is so incredibly sensitive that visually you can't mark it.  I really don't know of any other way.  I always use the scanalyzer.   Can you see with a magnifying glass the original position by looking for the marks from the screw heads on the slots?  Good luck.
