Motorcycle Repair: 1990 suzuki gsx-r 750 problem with engine rpms, engine rpms, suzuki gsx r 750

Question
Hello, my bike at idle the rpms goes up and down with no problem, but when i ride it between 3500 and 7000 the engine sounds and feels like it is not on all four cylinders in between doze rpms it hardly accelerates and it shacks allot .
I have changed the spark plugs and also calibrated the carbs, please help, thank you.

Answer
Jorge, what do you mean about calibrating the carbs? Synchronizing them or actually calibrating them to the engine configuration. If the carb jets have never been changed and the bike has an aftermarket exhaust and/or air filter setup, the carburetion will be too lean in the midrange and top end.
You can raise the needles up on the clips or put a thin washer under the clip if not adjustable, as well as change to one size larger main jet.
The only way to really get them right is to get it on a dyno for a run up and see where the fuel distribution issues are and how much changing needs to happen to get it all smooth again.
