Motorcycle Repair: 1990 sportster, hose clamp, oil plug

Question
i want to replace the oil and transmission fluid in my 1990 883 sportster. i do not have a manual. could you please tell me how much of each i will need, and where exactly is the oil drain?
thank you

Answer
The oil drain is located under the bike. Its a rubber hose coming from the oil tank with either a plug and hose clamp of is plugged into the frame with a hose clamp. Once you have it drained and the oil filter changed fill about 1/2 way. Start the bike and let it run for a minute and then fill to the mark on the dip stick. Should take about 3 quarts.
On the primary, drain the oil. Plug is on the left side under the primary. Fill with 1 quart of fluid made for trans on sportsters
Good luck and happy riding
