Greg, Honda recommends using motorcycle specific anti-freeze products. Aluminum engines require some non-silicate anti-freeze chemistry to prevent damage to water pumps, seals and cooling passages.
If you haven't replaced your thermostat, do it now, while you are servicing the cooling system. And check over all of your coolant hoses for deterioration. At 22 years old, things finally give up in these bikes and a coolant system leak or failure is very damaging to the engine.
