Motorcycle Repair: Oil Leaks, honda cl175, oil leaks

Hi Mark,
I just asked you about installing oil seals on a 1968 Honda CL175 and in reviewing some past answers, it was stated the on a 1974 Honda CL200 the alternator runs in oil.  Does the 1968 CL 175 rotor/alternator also run in oil?  Thanks, Bill

Hi Bill,

I'm not an expert on these models, though I don't think the engine case design changed on those models until the late 70's.

Try and get your question in to Bill Silver. He will know about those vintage models.
