Hi Jim, Slacken off the cable adjustment all the way, then turn the clutch push rod until resistance is felt. Pull the lever in three times to set the ball and ramp, now back adjusting push rod out(free play)1/2 turn. Install lock plate, spring and derby cover. Turn the adjusting cable out until you have 1/8 - 3/16 in. play between the cable and perch.
