Motorcycle Repair: 2002 fatboy, broken bolt, soleniod

The starter turns, won't start.  How do I get to the solenoid and bendix spring to replace them?  in a fix.....thanks, Karen

if you push the bike, yes, Karen

First thing I would check is the jackshaft to make sure you dont have a broken bolt. While the primary cover is off, bump the starter and see if it slides in and out. If it doenst work then your going to hae to pull the starter out and do some tests on it. The bendix and soleniod is part of the starter.
