mike, i puchased oil and a filter and an o ring for my bike i would like to know how to change the oil myself.. i cannot afford to pay harley charges for this service or a service manuel, a step by step answer would be greatly appreciated...

First, startthe bike and let it get up to temp. Shut it off and looking under the bike you will see the oil pan. You will see two plugs. One is for the oil and the other is for the trans. The one in the front is for the oil. Remove it and drain the oil as well as remove the oil filter. Install the new oil filter. Make sure you put some oil on the rubber ring and just hand tighten. Put in the new oil and fill to your manual specs and you set to go.
