Motorcycle Repair: hard to start bike and power loss at low speed, flate rate, yamaha aerox

Question
good day.
my son has a yamaha aerox 100cc 2 stroke scooter and it was hard to start when i brought it s/hand. i found part of the carb was loose where the throttle attaches so i tightened it up. now it is very hard to start. once started it will take a while to warm up before you can pull away. if it,s not left long enough to warm up it looses throttle use when you slow down. then he has to wait before pulling away again and sometimes he has to try repeatadly to pull away. thank you for any advice you can give.

Answer
Hi Jason,

I suspect the problem is minor in nature, however I cannot accurately diagnose this problem without being present and performing a few checks.

Consider having a local tech inspect the problem for you. Ask for a estimate of repairs. The tech should diagnose the problem and then it's up to you to have him/her make repairs or do it yourself. Most estimates cost about one hour of the shop's flate rate or they may have a set cost.
