Motorcycle Repair: Clutch lever sticks, clutch lever, harley road king

Question
The clutch lever on my 2007 Harley Road King (FLHR) sticks. When riding and I release the clutch, the lever doesn't return all the way out and I'm finding that I'm pushing it forward the rest of the way with my finger tips. It's a distraction. When the lever is totally extended it seems like there is about an inch of play before it starts to pull the cable. How do I adjust this? Seems like it should be a simple adjustment, but I don't see any adjustment knob before the cable like older bikes used to have. Thanks for your help.

Answer
First, your bike is covered by a two year factory warranty from the date of original purchase regardless of who the first purchaser was.  Why not talk to them about it.  Your clutch cable is supposed to have about 1/8" of freeplay at the lever.  Don't try to remove all of it.  The cable adjustment is underneath the accordion boot halfway down the cable.  If the cable is routed correctly it should not have any sharp bends in it that might cause it to bind.
