Motorcycle Repair: Warranty, regional rep, harley

Aloha,

What is the policy on Harley ordering parts for a warranty repair?  My scoot is in the shop with under 500 miles for a problem with the primary and they're tellin me to get the parts in less than 7-10 working days I have to pay for shipping!!!  To me, if the bike isn't working due to a manufacturers defect they should be doing everything in their power to get it on the road ASAP...your thoughts?

I would call your Harley Regional Rep.  Every shop seems to be a little different.  We try to do a 1 day turnaround and if we don't have the part my boss will drive out of state if necessary to get it.  But I know some HD shops that make you wait in line with the bikes that are in for service!!
