Motorcycle Repair: battery goes dead @1week, deltran, glass mat

2003 electric glid custom , new battery, there is a 90 ma draw on battery with key off, i do have clock and alarm not turn on . is this 90ma draw too much in key off possion??

Hey Guy, that shouldn't be too much of a draw.  I assume you are using the HD battery 66010-97A, if not you should.  The new AGM (absorbed glass mat) batteries are better than some of the more expensive batteries.  In any case, I would suggest using a battery tender.  The best/cheapest one is something like a "Battery Tender Junior" by DELTRAN, distributed by Drag Specialties and others is only 29.95 and turns on and off automatically when your battery needs it.  Also, you should always put a new battery on charge for about a half hour to top it off before installing it in the bike.
