Motorcycle Repair: 1982 honda xr 80, honda xr 80, rubber mallet

Hey there!  I have a 1982 honda xr 80 that when i kick it over it has alot of gas come out the back side of the carb where the air cleaner would be, and it also seems to flood out. any suggestions? thanks!

The carb float may be stuck. gently tap the float bowl (bottom of carb body) with a small rubber mallet or block of wood (GENTLE NOW!) and it may unstick it. Best to take carb off and inspect and clean it. You will need to make sure the float height is correct as well since you will be in there.

Get yourself a manual and you'll be two steps ahead of the game.
