Motorcycle Repair: 96 roadking, crankshaft sensor, scanalyzer

Question
Would it be possible to change my bike to carburated from efi? Other than wiring a new ignition what would stop me?Do you think I would have to replace the whole harness , or with a good manual could I reuse my stock wires?

-----Question-----
I have been struggling with ignition problems for months. A local shop replaced throttlebody. I replaced ecm, crankshaft sensor, cam position sensor, air cleaner, pipes. The bike starts fine, touch the throttle and get black smoke with stumbling and coughing. I now have an engine light. The data link indacator showed codes for tps, injectors, eng temp sensor, intake air sensor. I believe adjusting the tps could correct all of this. My question is can you adjust the tps without a scanalyzer or breakout box?
-----Answer-----
Yes you will have to have a scanlizer the make adjustments. reading you question you never said if you tested the coil and plug wires. A bad coil and plug wires will cause the black smoke.

Answer
You can change to a carb if you wish, but it would be a big expense. You would have to get a carb assembley, as well as an ignition. using the old wires would be a wiring nightmare, so you would need to go with a new harness. Also, you would need a petcock from the tank to feed the carb. So you would either have to get a new tank or have one welded on to the tank you have.
It would be a long process, but it can be done
