Motorcycle Repair: l997 Honda Goldwing l500, honda goldwing, carburator

Question
When riding the bike and I go to higher speeds the bike starvs for fuel.  I had it at a repair shop several times they can't find the problem they have cleaned and checked out the carburator etc. Chris I would appreciate any feedback you can give me on this.   Thank you.

Answer
Hi Jim.

Did they check the fuel pump?  It could be beginning to fail.
There is also a small module that regulates the fuel pump and that could be on it's way out.
Last, but not least, there is the possibility of something clogging the fuel lines anywhere between the tank and the carbs.  It may be a small blockage, but just big enough to prevent enough fuel from flowing at higher speeds and rpms to keep the engine running like it should.

Start with those and see what you find.
Good luck and ride safe.
