Question
Hi Chris, had new clutch fitted (sept 06 51,000miles)broken thrust bearing etc.Nine months later same again thrust bearing, less than 3,000miles done, new clutch fitted. Now after 6months not many miles having adjusted clutch cable several times seems to be failing yet again.

Any ideas?

Yours hopefully

Answer
Hi Nick.

The problem here is not the clutch assembly.  Although it is now becoming a problem, it isn't the problem itself.

Deeper in the engine is the real culprit.  Possibly in the transmission assembly.
What you really need to do is take it to a factory certified Yamaha mechanic and explain the issue with the whole history of the problem.  He will be more intimately familiar with the latest info for the bike and can get it fixed for you.

Sorry I can't help more.

Good luck and ride safe.
