Motorcycle Repair: Honda Steed 600 94 engine vibration, honda steed 600, wheel bearings

Question
Hi

My 94 Steed vibrates a lot. When standing still, engaging both brakes holds it still. When I am at high speed, and pull the clutch to disengage the engine, the vibration stops.

I have had all the wheels, rims, shocks, wheel bearings, brakes etc checked.

I suspect something is unbalanced in the engine. Can you advise, please?

Answer
Hi Draaagonn.

This sounds like the problem is in the clutch basket and clutch assembly or in the crank.

If you are hard on the clutch, then you could need a clutch rebuild.  If that doesn't fix it, then it get it to a shop and have them look at it.

Good luck and ride safe.
