Motorcycle Repair: Winterizing a motorcycle, norton commando, lucky bastard

Question
I would be grateful if you could guide me in the process of Winterizing a 1972 Norton Commando. It is stored in a semi-warm garage, though public and has not shown any signs of distress last winter - but it's getting old and is precious to me!

Answer
Hi Marcus.
(in best Monty Python voice) You lucky bastard!!

It sounds like you have been doing just fine so far, but I will go through the basics again for you, just in case there's something that you haven't been doing.

1) Remove the battery and put it on a seasonal charger.

2)  Drain the fuel tank and run all of the fuel out of the carbs.

3)  Put about a teaspoon of Marvel Mystery Oil into the cylinders and reinstall the plugs.

That should be all you need to do, but if you do more, then keep doing it.

Good luck and ride safe.
