Motorcycle Repair: atv yamaha, yamaha grizzly 600, posistions

Question
i have a 2001 yamaha grizzly 600, sometimes it will start and sometimes it wont.  when it starts it runs fine.  ive tried starting it for the last week and now it wont start.  ive tried the choke in all posistions and alls it does is flood out.  i think its either the carb or timing. if you could give me some input on this that would be great, shops over charge and try to tell theres more things wrong with you bike than there is to make more money.  THANKS

Answer
Hi Kendal.

Does the machine spend time in seasonal storage?  If it spends time in storage, then bad fuel would be a very definite probabiliity.  In that case, replace the fuel, clean the carb and reseal the tank.

Start with that and see what happens.
Good luck and ride safe.
