Motorcycle Repair: Possible coil issue, vf750 magna, fire one

Question
My 94 vf750 Magna doesn't fire one side of the engine under a load. I can start it just fine let it warm up and I can even rev the engine with no problem, But as soon as I start going down the road It starts to backfire and cut out all together but only on the left two pistons. The right side pistons fire just fine. am I right about it being a coil issue or could it be the timing module?

Answer
its possible its the coil but it could also be the rectifier acting up to. also you could crank it at night in the dark and look for any sparks coming from the sides of the coils ,they may be cracked and under a load you are pushing more fire out of the cracks causing the coil to ground on the frame or engine causing backfire.let me know if you see anything o.k p.s please leave feedback for me ok
