Motorcycle Repair: strange starter, goldwing 1100, booster cables

hi, have a 83 goldwing 1100 that has starter problem.wont turn over my engine. have good batt, good solenoid,fuses. starter will turn over if removed and bench tested (bad brushes?)

sound like bad armature in starter , take some booster cables hook up to an auto then take the hot on yur end with the switch on the bike on connect the hot directly to the starter wire on the starter then ground the the ground connection to the frame if bike doesnt turn over starter is bsd ok
