Motorcycle Repair: charging system, lighting circuit, dirt bike

I have a small problem. I am in the process of making a 2 stroke dirt bike street legal and i installed a stator with a lighting circuit the problem that i have is that i only have one wire coming out of it and my voltage regulator has 4 going to it the wire coming out of the stator is yellow and the ones going into the regulator are yellow (stator) green (ground) red (battery) and the last one is the one that i am having a problem with as it is white and i have no clue what to do with it or where to hook it up any help would be greatly apreciated and thank you for your time if you need other information i can give it to you
